DESCRIPTION
Our 16 rod has a line rating of 40lb to 80lb. Itis the longer 8 version of our 15. This rod has been popular with anglers who Tarpon fish from piers with live bait, but it can also be used indeeper water exceeding 200 ft for bottom fishing with braid or mono. At 8, the rod will take a lot of the abuse when the fish is on the way up which will prevent pulling hooks and will save the anglers back. We built this rod standard with a nylon gimble, an HD Fuji hooded reel seat, and HD Batson boat guides. We recommend pairingthese rods with Shimano TLD 25s, Shimano Tekota 700 or 800, and Shimano Talica 20II or 25II for pier Tarpon fishing. We also recommend pairing these rods with electric reels like the Daiwa Tanacom 750 or 1000 and other similar size reels. We back our rods with aone year warranty against manufacturers defects.
