Combining Daiwas latest designs with the integrity and strength that has made the Saltist name famous, the Saltist Star Drag delivers on all levels. Constructed from machined aluminium for maximum corrosion resistance, the Saltist SD features four stainless steel ball bearings (CRBB) and a Centrifugal braking system for ultimate cast
control and performance.
Digigear provides unmatched smoothness while the Saltists 6.4:1 gear ratio is the perfect all-rounder. With a maximum drag ranging from 8-10kg depending on the model in the range, and room for a tonne of line the Saltist SD is the reel that punches well above its weight without breaking the bank. Perfect for your next offshore adventure.
Features
Aluminum BodyLightweight and incredibly strong, aluminium allows strength and weightlessness to beachieved without the cost and corrosionissues of other metals.
DigigearDaiwa’s first generation of digitally engineered gear design ensures a perfectmesh between ultra-tough alloy drive gears and marine bronze pinion gears foroptimized speed, power, durability andsmoothness.
Centrifugal BrakeA system that utilizes the friction of brake blocks pressed inside in a brake ring. Thebrake force is proportional to the rotational speed of the spool. This means when spool speed is fast, brake force is much larger.
